The Saturday Morning Club came about quite unintentionally. I held a regular group class on Saturday's and while there were new students coming and going each round, the Founding Members signed up for every class. Eventually it came about that with this established group of dedicated dog folk the class was no longer advertised and has become a perpetual class with no ending. We meet somewhere new every week, expanding our training and experiences. This has also resulted in some of the students entering dog sports and earning titles. We have become a family centered around our dogs and one another, supporting and doing for one another whenever help is needed.
Archer belongs to me and is the founding canine member. One of his duties is to help other dogs in their training and behaviour around other dogs, as well as demonstrate all of the things a well-trained dog can do. He is my right hand, best friend and all around great dog. We compete as often as possible.
Archer - CGC, CD, AD, TKN, RN, BCAT, AKC Fit Dog, RI, RA, FDC, CA, CGC-U, FITB, FTN
Courtney and Violet - founding member being one of the first to join following a series of private training lessons with me.
Since that time Violet has received 3 AKC titles and continues her duties as a registered Therapy Dog at a private school.
Violet - CGC, CGCU, CGCA
Certified / Registered Therapy Dog
Faye and Dude - founding member of The Saturday Morning Club being one of the first to join following a B&T program with me. They have come so far and continue to advance social skills; Dude is a fantastic representative of his breed. He and Faye have been awarded Top of Class on two occasions.
Jackson belonging to Courtney and often handled in class by her daughter AKC Junior Handler, Amelia Rose and another of the founding members, joined us in late 2022. A big dog with a lot of energy and personality he has come a long way with his social skills and manners.
As he matures, I've no doubt he will only get better and do more.
Kathrin and Craig with George joined the club in early 2023 following a round of private training with me. They all enjoy the advantages of a well trained dog and began competing in AKC events. George now has 8 titles to his name.
George - CGC, VHMA, TKN, TKI, FTN, FTI, BCAT, ATT
Leslie and Rush joined the club in 2023. In a short time they both fell in love with training and dog sports. They are a great team and continue to get better. Rush now has 5 titles to his name.
Rush - UKC JH, CGC, FDC, FTN, FTI
Kathy and Rootbeer are new members of the Saturday Morning Club joining us late 2023 following private training lessons with me. With his owners dedication he has become The Unexpected Dachshund in public - not barking at everything, not jumping or lunging seems to surprise those not accustomed to seeing a well behaved Dachshund! I've no doubt he will go far.
Rachel and Ringo are the newest members of the Saturday Morning Club, joining early 2024 after a round of private training lessons with me. Ringo has come so far thanks to his owner's dedication from a dog afraid of his own shadow to a successful competitor and public icon, Ringo now has his first AKC title.
